The bid is for all 4 schools in the school district, Bradford High School, Fretz Middle School, School Street Elementary and George G Blaisdell Elementary and the Transportation Dept at 101 Songbird Road. The 3-year contract term will be from the date of the contract award until June 30, 2027. 1. All the school buildings need to be plowed and salted before 6 am and the transportation building before 5:30 am. 2. The school district will supply the salt to the contractor and the contractor must supply a dry storage space to store the salt and a way to load it into their spreaders. 3. Please submit the hourly cost each time the lot for each building is done. One price for plowing the lot and one for salting the lot. Please specify any adjustment to pricing throughout the term. 4. The contractor also must have a way to remove snow piles from the lots if we get a lot of snow, (front loader and dump trucks) and submit an hourly rate. 5. An on-site visit to each building with the Supervisor of Maintenance is required before a bid will be accepted. 6. The contractor must also be available to plow during and after school and weekend activities as needed. 7. The school district requires 4 plow trucks and 2 trucks with spreaders available at all times so all the lots can be serviced at once. 8. All contractors must provide a copy of insurance on all vehicles with a minimum of $1,000,000.00 General Liability, $1,000,000.00 Auto Liability, $2,000,000.00 Umbrella and for Workers Compensation Employers Liability each incident $500,000.00. 9. Two references including name, address, telephone number, contact person, and scope of service provided are to be submitted with the bid. In addition, before any award is made, the District may require satisfactory evidence to show that the bidder is a responsible bidder as contemplated under Pennsylvania law. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any condition or term within the bid specs as it deems in the best interest of the Bradford Area School District. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in bids and interpret ambiguities in the best interest of the Bradford Area School District.
