Project Description and Information: This invitation is for HVAC upgrades and replacement in the Keen Johnson building as specified in the following bid at Eastern Kentucky University’s Richmond, KY Campus. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the project outlined in the event and attachments including all items indicated throughout the event. Work will begin immediately following an official Award of Contract and Purchase Order from Eastern Kentucky University. A point of contact for EKU Project Management will be provided to the awarded vendor at time of award. Engineers Estimate: $1,900,000.00 Substantial Date for Completion: 75 days from stated start date on purchase order Final Date for Completion: 90 days from stated start date on purchase order Liquidated Damages: - $200 per day until Substantial Completion - $100 per day until Final Completion Question Deadline 02/28/2025 at 2:00 PM ET - Submit via the Q&A Board within this solicitation event. The Contractor shall furnish separate performance and payment bonds to the Owner. The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond satisfactory to the Owner in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the faithful performance of the Contract. The Contractor shall also furnish a payment bond satisfactory to the Owner in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum for the protection of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials, equipment or supplies for the Contractor or his/her Subcontractor for the performance of the Work provided for in the Contract, including security for payment of all unemployment contributions which become due and payable under Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law.
