The work to be performed under this Contract shall be commenced by the successful Bidder after the executed Contract Documents have been submitted, and within five (5) calendar days of the commencement date set forth in the Notice to Proceed (NTP). An initial NTP (NTP #1) will be released after execution of Contract Documents to commence project kickoff, material procurement, and the MidTown portion of the project including: pedestrian improvements at Virginia St and Cheney St, lighting, bollards, and signing and striping improvements at Virginia St and Center St, and lighting improvements at Virginia St and Wells Ave. The Midtown work, including any and all alternates and options, shall be completed within Twenty (20) working days after the commencement date set forth in NTP #1. A second NTP (NTP #2) will be issued for all other project construction services. The work, including any and all alternates and options, shall be completed within Sixty (60) working days after the commencement date set forth in NTP #2. NTP #1 is anticipated to commence and be completed prior to December 31, 2024. NTP #2 is anticipated to commence in the spring of 2025. Every Bid shall be accompanied by a Surety Company Bid Bond, or by a Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the Regional Transportation Commission in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid, said amount to be forfeited to the RTC should the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into a Contract in accordance with the Bid and other Contract Documents within Ten (10) calendar days after award.
