The County of Monroe is accepting proposals from experienced and qualified janitorial contractors to provide custodial and cleaning services at eleven (11) County of Monroe facilities/sites. It is the intent of the County to contract for said cleaning services from a qualified contractor for an initial four (4) year period. Scope: Proposals shall include all labor, supervision, appropriate equipment, necessary materials, and all other items/materials not specifically provided by the County to clean and maintain approximately 344,571 square feet of office areas. The approximate square feet per location are detailed below. Contractors shall confirm exact areas during the pre-bid walk through to determine a more exact square footage per building. The areas for janitorial services include restrooms, entrances, hallways, meeting rooms, and other institutional office space in accordance with the schedule outlined in this RFP. For the specific requirements on the areas with the facilities to be cleaned please, refer to the applicable sections of this RFP. Floor plans of each facility will be provided for your use and reference in preparing a proposal response. Please note, the total square footage may not be the total to be maintained by custodial services under this RFP. Each contractor shall price the work based on the actual areas, contractor work methods, procedures and any other factors the contractor uses to determine the cost of the work. The square footage information is provided as a reference only and shall not a single basis upon which to price the work. The floor plans with the subject areas marked along with the walk through of the buildings will more clearly define the areas to be maintained under contract. The purpose of this meeting is to review the scope of work, the specifications and conduct a tour of the buildings so that all bidders will have an equal opportunity to view the facility and ask questions that pertain to the requested services. To be eligible to submit a proposal, attendance at the pre-proposal meeting and on-site inspection is required, no exceptions. The successful contractor will be required to perform all services as outlined in this Request for Proposal and he/she shall include all costs for the services in your proposal pricing. Submit your proposal response using the Proposal Form attached to this RFP. The cost of all labor, material, equipment, tools, supervision, etc., shall be included in the proposal pricing. The County of Monroe reserves the right to accept or to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities and to make an award that is determined by the County of Monroe to be in the best interest of the County.
