Renovation of a laboratory facility in Golden, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

As of October 22, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The Subcontractor shall provide all personnel, labor, management, tools, equipment, and services necessary to ensure that Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) repair and restoration is performed at NREL facilities. The Subcontractor shall ensure that all objectives outlined in this Appendix A - Statement of Work are met in a timely and professional manner. The EIFS Repair agreement will include work such as, but not limited to: o Subcontractor shall provide as-needed Dryvit EIFS repair and restoration. Subcontractor shall follow manufacturer's guidance. o The Subcontractor shall provide all supplies and chemicals as required to complete all tasks outlined in the SOW. Additional details are provided in the Statement of Work attached to this Notice. Technical Question Due Date 9/17/2024 A. Work included: The repair and refinishing of existing EIFS system as required to complete the related scope of work to provide new sealant at existing frames, openings, and building facade joints. Repair procedures to be per EIFS manufacturer's requirements as well as Dow EIFS / DOWSIL Restoration Guide recommendations. B. EIFS repairs/refinishing to be of a type and method approved for Type PB EIF System consisting of adhesive insulation board, reinforcing mesh, and finish on approved substrates. C. Design Requirements: EIFS current published information shall be followed for suggested detail treatments. 1. The minimum slope of inclined surfaces shall be not less than 3" in 12". 2. Maximum deflection of substrate systems shall not exceed L/240. 3. Acceptable substrates include: masonry, concrete, exterior grade gypsum sheathing, cement plaster. 4. Expansion joints are required at building expansion joints, panel joints, and other areas where significant structural movement may occur. 5. Reinforcing fabric to provide high impact resistance and resistance to bird damage.
