Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project which begins at the City of Hartford Townline and ends at Britton Drive generally consists of reconstruction of concrete sidewalk, sidewalk ramps and driveway aprons; installation of granite stone curbing, brick paver snow shelf, decorative street lighting, rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB); partial restriping, and other incidental work. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid, should the Town deem it to be in the best interest of the Town. Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Bid Instructions and Information. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Materials Payment bonds, each in amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the contract price. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabledowned Businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% setaside goals. The project is 100% state funded All prospective bidders must be prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services prior to bidding. Submitted bids by any entity not so prequalified will be rejected. Any questions regarding the proposed work should be addressed, in writing, to Joseph Muraca at jmuraca@bloomfieldct.gov. Questions will not be entertained past 3:00 p.m., October 28, 2024, and responses will be posted via addendum by 3:00 p.m., October 30, 2024.
