Site work for a water / sewer project in Harvest, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work to be done under the contract shall consist ofthe complete construction of each and every unit described in the plans, these standard specifications, the supplemental specifications, the special provisions, Contract and Notice to Contractors, together with all authorized alterations. The Contractor shall furnish, unless definitely and expressly provided to the contrary in the Proposal and special provision or the plans, all materials, implements, machinery, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation and labor necessary to the prosecution and satisfactory completion of the work. for the construction of the Wall-Triana Highway and McKee Road Water Main Relocation Bidders must certify prior to work under Executive Order 11,246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Contractor / Subcontractor will comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, if applicable to the area of the project. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond such as described in the 1940 Code of Alabama, Title 50, Section 16,will be required of the successful bidder. The Performance Bond must be in the Penal amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price, and the Labor and Material Bond in the Penal amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. Same must be executed by a surety company acceptable to the Harvest-Monrovia Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority, and authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check of Bidders' Bond in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000.00. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive in-formalities. Harvest-Monrovia Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority A summary of the work is included below: Installation of five gate valves on existing water mains, approximately 135' of boring under Wall Triana Highway and McKee Road, Installation of 1,160' of 8" ductile iron water main, three fire hydrant assemblies, two gate valves on new water mains, and one water service.
