The City of Mountain View (City), incorporated in 1902, is a full-service charter city with a City Council/City Manager form of government and over 690 regular positions representing 14 departments. It is a municipal corporation of the state, located in Santa Clara County, California. The City is just over 12 square miles with a population of approximately 86,500 and has a General Operating Fund budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25 of approximately $183.7 million. A. PROJECT OVERVIEW The City of Mountain View seeks a qualified contractor (Contractor) to provide: 1. Routine hazardous materials disposal services; and 2. Emergency response for hazardous waste clean-up on an as-needed basis. B. SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY Contractor shall be solely responsible for Emergency Response Clean-Up of all Hazardous Waste from Response to Disposal of Materials as well as Routine Hazardous Materials Disposal Services. Contractor shall use the degree of skill, care, and professional judgement by recognized firms performing work of similar nature. All clean-up work will be conducted within the City of Mountain View. Contractor understands that time and safety are of the essence in this agreement. It is anticipated that the resulting agreement will be for the period November 12, 2024 through June 30, 2026, with an option to extend for an additional four (4) one (1) year fixed terms at the discretion of the City, if applicable.
