Renovation of an educational facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Scope of Services to be provided by the Proponent will include all services necessary to meet the requirements of the Owner and in accordance with CCDC 2 20 and the McMaster supplemental conditions to CCDC 2 20. The Project will comply with all governing legislation, codes, laws, by-laws, and requirements of authorities having jurisdiction. The Proponent will assign a competent Project Manager and Site Supervisor to this project. The Site Supervisor will be dedicated to the project for the duration of delivery and installation. Delivery and Installation: Proponent must confirm the lead time required to deliver the furniture from receipt of order. The proponent is responsible for any damage to university buildings (including smudges and gouges) or equipment occurring during installation. Furniture must be installed, fully assembled, and ready for use as a part of the installation and delivery fees. The successful proponent is responsible for ensuring that the transportation carrier has the necessary staffing and off-loading equipment. The equipment remains the property of the proponent until delivered and installed and all claims for damage or loss in transit must be initiated by proponent. McMaster reserves the right to reject in part of in whole, goods received in damaged condition. All shipping, packaging and crating material must be removed by the supplier at the cost of the Supplier. For all bids in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars, submit with the Bid Form, a bid bond / certified cheque issued by a surety company acceptable to the Owner in the amount of 10% of the tender price as evidence of good faith that if awarded the Contract, the successful Bidder will execute and enter into a formal agreement within the time required and will furnish the security required to obtain the performance of the terms of the Contract. Submit an Agreement to Bond using the latest edition of the CCDC-approved bond form to verify the ability to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 50% of the bid price (excluding HST) for all bids in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). The cost to provide the required performance bond shall be included in the base bid price. Submit an Agreement to Bond using the latest edition of the CCDC approved bond form to verify the ability to provide a Labour and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the bid price (excluding HST) for all bids in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). The cost to provide the required Labour and Material Payment bond shall be included in the base bid price. The premium cost included will be necessary to provide coverage for the duration of the Project.
