Site work for a water / sewer project in Hazlehurst, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to determine service line material through minor excavation "pot-holing" on all water services 2 inches in diameter and smaller. All participating in the program are required by contract condition to make "positive effort" to solicit and award subcontractors to minority and women owned businesses for services and/or supplies. Time allotted for contract is 120 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion. Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on. The project is proposed to be funded with a State Revolving Fund loan. All SRF requirements apply. All loan recipients participating in the program are required by contract condition to make "positive effort" to solicit and award subcontracts to minority and women owned businesses. This contract condition is also passed on to the prime contractor. These subcontracts are for services and/or supplies. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. A Utility Contractors License is not required for bidding. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
