Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) is requesting proposals for a qualified transmission line construction contractor to provide construction and maintenance labor services on BTU's overhead transmission (69kV and 138kV) facilities (the "Work"). This proposal will include unit and hourly prices for the contractor to provide labor and equipment, on an as needed basis, to perform work within assigned work locations. The work scope could consist of de-energized construction, re-conductor, rebuilding, replacement, removals, or retirement of overhead facilities as required by job. This could include such things as material pick up, hauling and storage, pole setting, pole replacements, framing, wire pulling, dollying, conductor sagging, and tying in of conductor as required by job, all required safety procedures, return of used and unused materials, locates, traffic control, hauling off of spoils and restoration of job site. This is not an exhausted list of all potential work that could be assigned under this contract by BTU. It is expected that the selected contractor will be available for emergency and storm related work when called. Question Deadline 09/19/2024 at 10:00 AM CT All questions or clarifications related to this Request for Bid shall be addressed in writing, via electronically. This contract shall become effective from date of acceptance and approval by BTU. It shall remain in full force and effect with firm fixed proposal prices for a period of twelve (12) months. Upon completion of the term of the original contract and upon the mutual agreement of both parties, the original contract may be renewed for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods [five (5) years total]. Contracts are extended upon mutual agreement of both Contractor and the City/BTU. The right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids and to waive all formalities is hereby reserved by Bryan Texas Utilities.
