FY24-295 RFP - Garlic Creek Trail Construction Reference Number: 0000362706 The City is seeking to enter a contract with a qualified contractor for a field-engineered project furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of approximately 7,800 to 10,350 LF of 10-foot wide stabilized decomposed granite trail within Garlic Creek Park using a Field Engineering process with detailed design provided in the field during construction based on existing conditions and standard details in compliance with ADA/TAS requirement. The project includes concrete trail construction, box and pipe culvert installation, and a prefabricated pedestrian bridge. There is one add alternate bid on this project. Construction services for this project will be selected through competitive sealed proposals in accordance with Chapter 2269, of the Texas Government Code. The City will evaluate and rank the contractors based on the following selection criteria: 40% Contractor Relevant Experience and References, and 60% Cost Proposal. The City shall select the contractor that offers the best value as determined by the selection criteria and ranking evaluation. Per 2258.022 of the Texas Government Code, the City specifies in this call for bids that the prevailing wage rates determined in the specifications are to be paid. An acceptable bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter contract with the City of Buda and furnish bonds on the forms provided. Proposers are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. The successful proposer will be required to furnish a performance bond, payment bond, and maintenance bond as stipulated in the specifications. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) calendar days.
