The RM of Stonehenge No. 73 hereby invites tenders from qualified contractors for the provision of gravel crushing services for the year 2024. The RM has two adjacent piles of surveyed raw gravel for a total of 24,420 cubic yards that needs to be crushed to 3/4 " standard road gravel on LSD 12 Sec 34-Twp 8-Rge 2-W3. It is expected to reject 30% but the exact % of reject will be determined by the gravel pit committee. If the contractor has not moved into the pit to commence crushing by November 15, 2024 or at the agreed date between the contractor and the Gravel Pit Committee, a penalty of $1,000 per day will apply. Contractor must provide the R.M. with continuous work. Crushing must be completed no later than November 30, 2024. All inquiries prior to closing of bids are to be directed to: Chris Sinclair, Reeve 306-642-7473 Upon being awarded the contract the successful bidder will have seven days to provide a bid deposit based on 10% of the initial awarded contract; shall be made payable to the RM of Stonehenge No. 73 in the form of a bid bond, certified cheque, bank draft or money order. Failure to provide the bid deposit will result in a default by the contractor and the RM of Stonehenge No. 73 will have the right to award the tender to another bidder. The RM reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tender(s) without stating reasons, to negotiate with the Successful Bidders(s), split the award or to waive irregularities and omissions, if in so doing the best interests of the RM will be served. No liability shall accrue to the RM for its decision in this regard. Any bid or any part of any bid will not necessarily be accepted. The lowest bid does not necessarily constitute an award. The RM is not obligated to award a contract to any Bidder pursuant to this Request for Tender.
