Escambia County Waste Services, located at 13009 Beula Road, Pensacola, FL 32533, is requesting quotes to grind down concrete rubble accumulated onsite at Perdido Landfill. Background Waste Services offers disposal of clean concrete from citizens and stockpiles it in an area until enough has accumulated to warrant crushing. The concrete is typically generated from construction and demolition activities. The quote provided should be all inclusive and on a per-ton basis. The rough quantity of uncrushed material is 7000 tons, and the County will request that a portion, to be determined later, will remain uncushed. The rubble pile contains a minimum amount of brick, asphalt, metal, and rebar with pieces ranging from 4"-30" in thickness. No transportation or hauling outside of working area will be required. Question Submission Deadline:September 20, 2024, 4:00pm The rubble pile can be viewed at Perdido Landfill during normal operating hours 8:00 AM - 5:00PM. Contractor shall: Supply County with a cost for services requested using the Pricing Table in OpenGov. Review Waste Services Crushed Concrete Operations Plan in solicitation attachments. Supply all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to crush rubble to 1 1/2" minus base material. Have equipment capable of accurately weighing materials. Contractor shall supply documentation(s) of up-to-date calibration(s). Provide daily quantities crushed to site personnel for tracking. Remove any non-concrete rubbish from pile and set to the side for disposal by the County. This may include metal, wood, trash, plastic, or cardboard. This will be at no cost to the Contractor. Supply adequate dust and noise suppression as necessary. Crushing operations shall only be performed during normal business hours, unless otherwise approved by Waste Services. Provide a general timeline for mobilization, crushing, and demobilization. Provide a final invoice at the completion of work. Waste Services will be responsible for: Ensuring an area large enough to store Contractor equipment that is suitable for heavy equipment. Providing a cleared area for the crushed rubble to be safely and properly stockpiled near Contractor operations. Pay for crushed concrete based on weight verification process. If after hours access will be necessary for the above-mentioned site for the Contractor for maintenance, the awarded vendor shall schedule in advance with site contacts.
