Renovation of a municipal facility in Aquinnah, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The town of Aquinnah is seeking sealed proposals for the restoration of the lantern deck and curtain wall at the Gay Head Lighthouse in accordance with Department of Interior Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. The work on the Project includes restoration of the lantern deck and curtain wall of the National Historic Register Landmark Listed 1856 Gay Head Lighthouse. All work must be performed in accordance with the Secretary of Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and the Historic Lighthouse Preservation Handbook. The work is of a specialty nature as it requires expertise, knowledge of, and experience with, the restoration and repair of historic masonry lighthouses.
