Town of Aquinnah is seeking sealed proposals under M.G.L ch. 30B, Sec. 6 for weatherization work at the Edwin D. Vander hoop Homestead in accordance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Questions to Gisele Gauthier, giselegauthier333@gmail.com Develop a draft plan describing in detail how such proposer will perform the Weatherization and Mechanical Improvements outlined below. This plan must detail all insulation material types and provide specifications on installation methodologies including any required modifications to/penetration of the historic fabric of the building. This plan should be sufficiently detailed to ensure compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and NPS guidance identified above and will be reviewed by parties including the Massachusetts Historical Commission, the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head/Aquinnah, the Martha's Vineyard Commission, and representatives from Dukes County and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. Finalize the draft plan by incorporating any comments received from parties above after their 30-day review. Photograph and document (e.g., map) existing conditions. Weatherization and Mechanical Improvements to include: Installation of insulation in the attic and on the basement ceiling. Insulating other areas as appropriate, following the NPS guidance including the areas to be insulated as well as the types of insulation used (please note spray foam applications are not considered acceptable by NPS). Weatherstripping exterior doors and windows, as needed. Repair, replacement and/or installation of additional duct-less heat pump units to reach a 5-ton heating/cooling capacity. Repair, replacement and/or installation of condensers as required. Due to location, all new and existing exterior equipment must be seacoast sprayed to withstand coastal conditions Develop as-built documentation at completion of project. Tender has been cancelled.
