Renovation of a mixed-use development in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,780-square-foot educational facility; and library.
Bid date notes: Proposals will be received electronically HUB Sub-contracting Plans must be received electronically Proposals received after the date and hour above stated will not receive consideration. Proposals will then be virtually opened and read aloud promptly. This project is for a general contractor to provide a general construction services to carve out an Executive Office Suite for the Office of the Provost. The suite will be approximately 2,780sf on the 3rd Floor of Gibson Library. The selected General Contractor will be required to coordinate construction efforts for this project with the General Contractor for ongoing renovation work in the greater library that is part of the 2024 CCAP Library 1st-4th project. Note that work will be taking place in an occupied building. To minimize Library interruptions, contractors will need to account for no noisy work during 6:00am 8:00pm. Construction for the project must take place in the scheduled window of January 6, 2025, to April 16, 2025 The substantial completion of this project is expected to be complete by May 1, 2025. All questions and answers will be posted to the website by 5:00p.m. CDT on October 1, 2024. The Owner may in its sole discretion respond in writing to questions concerning this Proposal. Only the Owner's responses made by formal written Addendum to this Proposal shall be binding and shall be posted on the UNT System's website located at online Oral or other written interpretations or clarifications shall be without legal effect. In accordance with Texas Government Code 2161, RFCSP for contracts with an expected value of $100,000 or more will require HUB Subcontracting Plan. All subcontracted work whether identified by the Owner or not, are required to be identified in the HUB Subcontracting Plan. The Plan should reflect all subcontracting opportunities to be utilized in this project and can be found online at online Complete, sign and submit the HUB Subcontracting Plan form with the proposal response. Only RFCSP responses with approved HUB Subcontracting Plans will be opened. Please upload your HUB Subcontracting plan as a separate attachment from your RFCSP response through the UNTS Jaggaer link provided above. You will have two (2) files to upload, your Proposal and then your HUB Subcontracting Plan. Questions regarding the completion of the HUB Subcontracting Plan should be directed to Rosa Violante or Sony Simon at hub@untsystem.edu. The Owner is not bound to accept the lowest priced offer if that offer is not in its best interest, as determined by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to: (a) enter into agreements or other contractual arrangements for all or any portion of the Scope of Work set forth in this Proposal with one or more respondents; (b) reject any and all offers and re-solicit offers; or (c) reject any and all offers and temporarily or permanently abandon this procurement, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner.
