Demolition and site work for a civil project in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work encompasses the complete replacement of an existing belt press with a new dewatering system for the Los Alamos Wastewater Treatment Plant (LA-WWTP). The plant shall remain in operation during the entire process of replacing the belt press therefore the project includes several key tasks and activities for both temporary and permanent equipment installation: First, it involves the installation of new yard piping and valving, including the establishment of piping connections and valves for the yard infrastructure. Temporary power connections will also be provided to support construction activities. Second, the installation of new temporary dewatering equipment will be required to keep the plant in operation before demolition of the existing belt press can take place. This involves installing new yard piping and valves to facilitate temporary connections, setting up a temporary line to route to rental dewatering equipment. Plant operations staff will receive training on the operation of rental equipment to ensure sufficient operation of the plant during construction. Third, the project necessitates site demolition and removal operations to clear out existing equipment and infrastructure in accordance with contract specifications. Following the removal and demolition efforts related to the existing belt press, the installation of the new dewatering screw press, dewatering pumps, and ancillary equipment as described in the Contract Documents shall be completed. Additionally, the scope encompasses instrumentation and controls setup, which involves installing new instrumentation, control panels, and control wiring to ensure proper operation of the newly installed equipment.
