**As of October 22, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. Project goes to the board for approval on November 14th. Summary: Work includes, but is not limited to the following (refer to drawings and other documents in this project manual 1. Roofing system replacement at roofs identified on drawings. 2. Rooftop mechanical equipment work related to roofing replacement work. 3. Roof drain replacement and associated plumbing work related to roofing replacement work. 4. Window replacement at Media Center. Refer to Drawing T000 for a brief description of the scope of work. Also refer to specifications and drawings. This project consists of removal of gravel surfaced built up membranes, TPO membranes, roofing insulation and roofing flashings down to structural deck; provision of replacement insulated modified bitumen roofing system (deck board, vapor barrier, insulation, tapered insulation crickets where applicable, cover board, and multiple ply modified bitumen roofing system) and flashings. Removal and replacement of all sheet metal flashing & trim coping, thru wall scuppers, and flashings associated with the roofing. Removal and replacement of all roof drains. Perform all associated work such as disconnection, removal, reinstallation, and reconnection of existing rooftop mechanical units on replacement roof rails/curbs so as to achieve minimum 12 inch high base flashing. All low slope roofing systems shall be removed and replaced. Removal of one set of 5-bay storefront windows in the Media Center of school. Provision of new storefront windows installed to meet manufacturer's and CCSD requirements. Work shall be in compliance with all applicable codes. Bids will be time and date stamped by electronically. CCSD is not responsible for the failure of the vendor's computer hardware, software, or other communications systems or devices. Bids submitted in any manner other than through electronically will not be accepted. To be eligible to respond to this bid, Contractors must pre-qualify as outlined in CCSD Board Administrative Rule FGC-R which is available online The deadline for submitting pre-qualification requirements for this project is 3:00 PM ET on September 30, 2024. Contractors must provide proof of previous job experience within 30% of the cost or scope of this project. CCSD will review the pre-qualification submittal and respond within five (5) business days. To all interested parties upon receipt of a request accompanied by a non-refundable check made payable to the issuing party above in the amount of: $500.00 per set for hard copy $100.00 per set for an digital copy Hard copy documents will be shipped postpaid, as soon as possible. Bid responses will only be accepted from companies that have purchased bid documents from the Architect/Engineer. The contract, if awarded, will be on the basis stated in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening except within 48 hours if an appreciable error can be shown. Bid responses must be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to the Cobb County School District, in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid price. (Certified or Cashier's Check will Not be Acceptable in Lieu of Bid Bond.) The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Cobb County School District in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price and executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, latest edition. The Surety Company shall have an A.M. Best Company minimum rating of "A-" with a financial size of VII "7" or better. Bonds must be accompanied by a letter stating the bonding company's current rating for verification before acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Bonding of Subcontractors: Include in the Base Bid, Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each in 100% of the subcontract sum, for each Subcontractor having a contract of $50,000.00 or more for Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler System and Electrical Work as required by the General Conditions. Contractor and Subcontractors shall require the Attorney-in-Fact who executes bonds on behalf of sureties to attach a certified, current copy of his/her Power of Attorney. Cobb County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
