The scope of work for Danville's Aviation Training Facility project involves developing a vacant parcel located at the Danville Regional Airport on the north side of Airport Drive (near the airport fire station) that will allow for the construction of a 12,532 square foot building to support the Danville Community College's aviation maintenance technology program and Averett University's Aeronautics program. The scope of work also involves renovating an existing 3900 square foot hangar to support certain activities for Danville Community College's aviation maintenance technology training program. Site prep construction work related to this project will be completed through a different contract. Please note this project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program.
