Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Huron, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
The work generally consists of the demolition of existing fencing and improvements to the Homeless Day Center which includes painting, flooring and bathroom improvements, as shown in the plans and as described in the technical specifications. The time for completion is 120 calendar days. This is a Public Works Project subject to the rate of prevailing wages as established by the California Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. The CITY OF HURON hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religious creed, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The CITY OF HURON reserves the right to select the schedule(s) under which the bids are to be compared and contract(s) awarded, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularities in any bid.
