LATC - Surgical Technology Renovation on the campus of Lake Area Technical College. The bid letting will be held at the Lake Area Technical College Student Center Administrative Offices (Room TBD), 1201 Arrow Avenue, Watertown, South Dakota. All bidders shall take note of the AIA Document A701 "Instructions to Bidders", and the AIA Document A201 "General Conditions of the Contract for Construction". One combined bid will be accepted for complete construction (all general, structural, mechanical, electrical, material and labor) as required to provide a complete project. No bidder may withdraw a bid for 30 days following the bid opening without a written request explaining the cause of the withdrawal and without written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause. Liquidated damages shall be in effect for this project. See Bid Form, Agreement for Construction, and the General Conditions for details. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or draft certified or issued by a state or national bank, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, payable to Watertown Public Schools; or in lieu thereof, bidder may furnish a bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and payable to Watertown Public Schools as a guarantee that such bidder will enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described in the bid and as specified. The Watertown School Board reserves the right to reject any part of, or all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. By virtue of statuary authority preference will be given to contracts, labor, materials, products, and supplies found or produced with the State of South Dakota in a manner provided by law.
