As of November 15, 2024 project was awarded to Jeff Asbell Excavating & Trucking Inc., awarded amount is $434,393.18. The COX AVENUE STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS project involves installing a new box culvert, which is already on-site, and replacing existing sidewalks, curb, gutter, and ADA ramps within the East Town project area. This project is being supported with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Development Block Grant Entitlement grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of their bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of the City of Joplin, Missouri. The Director of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids. No interpretation of the meaning to the plans, specifications, or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally.
