Site work for a clubhouse / community center in Benson, Vermont. Conceptual plans call for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The Rutland Regional Planning Commission (RRPC) seeks a qualified engineering firm to complete Conceptual Plans and an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for improvements to community and recreational facilities located at 2724-2760 Stage Road, in Benson, Vermont. These two contiguous parcels, which together constitute the main public community space in the Town of Benson, hold the Benson Public Library, Community Hall, Town Clerks Office, as well as significant outdoor recreational space. Currently, this space lacks accessible parking, suffers from poor drainage, and contains an underutilized concrete slab at its center. The Town of Benson seeks to enhance the accessibility, resiliency, and recreational value of this public space through the creation of additional ADA-accessible parking, drainage improvements, and the construction of an outdoor pavilion on the currently vacant slab. The Rutland Regional Planning Commission seeks a qualified engineering firm to complete Conceptual Plans and an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) to advance the design of these improvements. We will post answers to all questions on the RRPC website by October 2, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The RRPC reserves the right to reject all proposals received as a result of this solicitation, to negotiate with any qualified source, to waive any formality and any technicalities or to cancel the RFP in part or int its entirety if it is in the best interest of the RRPC The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
