Specification Information Landscape Service Plan for Five Philadelphia Libraries Weekly Landscape Service Scope: Weekly preparation and cultivation of landscape areas. Application of fertilizer as deemed necessary after evaluation. Provision and distribution of topsoil and mulch, with quantities determined upon site survey. Environmentally safe weeding practices to be employed as required. Supply and installation of shrub and ground cover replacements, with an allowance proposed post site survey in collaboration with the Library Landscaping Manager. Regular lawn mowing services. Reporting Requirements: Submission of a weekly work order via email detailing the scope of work completed, along with any issues or changes, to the Library Landscape Manager. Consistent weekly reporting for each site. Monthly invoicing, accompanied by all corresponding work orders. Specific Tasks: Removal of all debris, leaves, and weeds from the landscape areas. Turning and edging of soil around all perennial plants, flower beds, trees, and shrub beds. Re-mulching of the current landscape area. Replacement and replanting of shrubs and perennial plants as necessary, with alternatives subject to approval. Application of slow-release fertilizer post the third grass cutting. Execution of pre-emergent weed control measures. Lawn dethatching as required. Aeration and overseeding of lawns for ongoing maintenance. Post-maintenance cleanup of all landscape areas, ensuring removal of all debris, trimmings, and grass cuttings. Elimination of climbing weeds and vines on shrubs, trees, and plants. Removal of woody weed trees not native to the landscape, including cutting down and excavating roots. Edging of all lawn areas, curbside islands, and adjacent pathways or pavements. Monthly trimming of shrubs, pruning of dead limbs, and maintenance of plants and flowers post-flowering to maintain shape and health. Please note, all services are to be conducted in accordance with the highest environmental and professional standards, ensuring a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing landscape for the Library premises. Lehigh Avenue - 215-685-9794 Thomas F Donuatucci Branch - 1935 Shunk Street - 215-685-1755 Contract Terms The terms of the requirements contract are effective from July 1, 2024, through September 30, 2024, and will resume from April 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025. During these periods, all conditions and stipulations outlined in the contract are in full force and effect. It is important for all parties involved to be aware of these dates to ensure compliance and proper execution of the contract's terms. The contract may be renewed under the terms and conditions of this agreement at the sole option of the City on an annual basis for up to three (3) additional one (1) year period(s). This small order purchase will be awarded as a whole or by line item, whichever is in the best interest of the City, to the lowest responsive bidder. Seller must quote all items in order to be eligible for award.
