Summary. The Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), on behalf of the University of Arizona, is soliciting proposals from interested vendors to furnish the University with a General Contractor for Steward Observatory to replace a structure located on Kitt Peak, which is located on the lands of the Tohono O'odham Nation. The original structure was lost in the Contreras fire in 2022. The project will include further demolition of the previous foundation and preparation for the new structure, preparing construction documents, securing necessary permits, securing engineering services as required, and arranging inspections. 11-11-2024 Technical Questions/Inquiries due no later than 12:00 PM, MST. Such rejection may be without prior notice and shall be without any liability of any kind or amount to the University. The University shall not accept any proposal that the University deems not to be in its best interests. The University shall reject proposals submitted after the Due date and time.
