Renovation of a municipal facility in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes but is not limited to the following 1. Removal of existing built-up ballasted roof system and reinstallation with SBS roof system. Also included in the roof replacement is partial demolition of existing elevator penthouses no longer in use, removal, storage and reinstallation of an existing solar array located on the west side ofthe main roof and removal of an abandoned solar array located on the east side ofthe main roof. Alternates will be part ofthe bid package which should be referred to specification section 012300. Type of Contract Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. a. Bidders shall promptly notify Mark Korytko of any errors, omissions, conflicts or ambiguity within the Contract Documents. No questions or inquiries regarding this bid will be accepted October 2 nd 2024 at 5 pm. Bid date notes: It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure the sealed proposal is delivered before the bid opening and bidders must utilize one of the following methods: Drop off the sealed proposal (one bidder representative in-person) to a designated location just inside of the S. Elmwood Avenue entrance of City Hall, Buffalo, New York, 14202 The DPW will set a box up for the bidder to deposit the sealed proposal. There may be multiple bids on this date; it is the bidder's responsibility to properly label the sealed proposal and place the proposal inside the correct box. Mail the sealed proposals to Room 10, City Hall, Buffalo, New York, 14202 with ATTN to the Commissioner of Public Works, Parks and Streets. Bidders should allow for delivery before the bid opening (highly encouraged to schedule for delivery on or prior . It is also highly encouraged that bidders track delivery of their mailed proposals and use appropriate priority mail as necessary. City of Buffalo staff is available to accept deliveries on standard business days Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Document notes: Payment can be submitted only by company check or money order made payable to the City of Buffalo, Dept. of Public Works, Parks and Streets. NO CASH AND NO PERSONAL CHECKS. Addenda will be emailed from Avalon Document Services to Bidders listed on the official Plan Holders List. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all Addenda by securely stapling in place all addenda within the front or back covers of the proposal book. All Addenda so issued shall become part of the Contract Documents. The City of Buffalo will not be responsible for full or partial set of Contract Documents, including any Addenda obtained from any other source. The City of Buffalo reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. Each bidder's attention is called to the General Municipal Law, which requires a bidder's Certification of Non-Collusion. Copies of such Certificates are part of the Bid Form and, unless complied with, bid will not be accepted. Bidders Must Submit a Statement at Time of Bid Indicating That the Bidder Will Work Toward a Business Utilization Goal for Minority Business Enterprise of 25% and Women Business Enterprise of 5%. In Addition, Bidders Must Submit a Statement at Time of Bid Indicating That They Will Work Toward a Minority Workforce Goal of 25% and a Women Workforce Goal of 5% and a City of Buffalo Resident Goal. Historic Preservation Acknowledgement: This property has been determined to possess historic (e.g., architectural, engineering, artistic) significance and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The contractor shall recognize that all aspects of the property may potentially contribute to this significance and the contractor shall not judge the relative significance of any features nor the impact of any or all proposed work; this responsibility shall rest solely with the architect. Consequently, no deviations from the contract documents shall be performed and no features or materials shall be altered, removed, reused, or taken from the premises, without the written approval of the architect as being consistent with the requirements of the contract documents. All work shall be consistent with The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
