Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Red Deer, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,956-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Society to submit nonbinding proposals. The Society is requesting quotes for a new design/build project on the Kerry Wood Nature Centre property, 6300 45 Ave, Red Deer, AB. Structure a minimum of 60m2 (646ft2) of open, unrestricted interior floor space; footings and foundations; exterior hose bib with ground-level sink; roofing system that is compatible with rainwater capture and solar PV installation; hardie board (or similar) exterior cladding to match the Nature Centre; HVAC with good filtering for smoky days; an exterior “yard” space with a hidden fence (chain link covered by natural plantings for example), native species ground covering (eg rough fescue grass); extended roof to create shady patio space; floor-ceiling (or near to it) glass exterior on east side; doors keyed to existing Nature Centre key inventory; security alarm system and monitored camera system – tied into existing; exterior, dark skies-friendly lighting; rough-ins for future solar PV system
