The City of Mustang's Multimodal continuity plan is a long-range plan aimed at creating an interconnected pedestrian and bicycle network throughout the City of Mustang to facilitate safe pedestrian travel and reduce the number of single-occupant vehicles on our roadways. Phase 1 provides arterial sidewalk connections along SH-152, Czech Hall, Mustang Road, and 59th prioritizing access to local schools. Phase 2 will provide access to 2 schools, Dowden Park, neighborhoods, businesses and additional sidewalk connections in Wild Horse Park. Phase 3 will provide pedestrian access to Meadows Park, and multiple neighborhoods, churches and businesses to the East along SH-152. Phase 4 will provide residential and commercial connections to the East along SH-152 and along Clear Springs Road north of SH-152. Phase 5 will provide connections to neighborhoods and businesses on the east side of town along SH-152, east and west of Morgan Road. This project is included in the City's 2024-2025 City Budget. As of September 12, 2025, engineer has submitted 90% plans for this project. ODOT is reviewing the 90% plans, and the environmental study on the project has been completed. The City is working to acquire the right-of-way for the project and anticipates construction to begin in Fall 2025. The first phase of this project will provide protected sidewalk connectivity between Mustang Public School facilities within the city limits and the Town Center.
