Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Bloomington, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Monroe County Board of Commissioners ("Commissioners") on behalf of the Monroe County Parks and Recreation Department will receive sealed proposals for the Karst Athletic Complex Athletic Field Improvement Potential bidders may email questions to Bledsoe Riggert Cooper James, attention Ben Blanton at bblanton@brcjcivil.com. Questions must be submitted via email no later than 5:00 p.m. (local time) on Monday October 7, 2024. The work associated with this project covers the installation of synthetic turf; athletic field lighting, asphalt and concrete pavement; irrigation; and storm, water, and electric utilities. The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, or an acceptable bidder's surety bond made payable to the Monroe County Board of Commissioners in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid. Surety bonds must be executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. The certified check or Bidder's Bond shall be a guarantee that said bidder will, if the Contract is awarded to them, execute within ten (10) days from the acceptance of their proposal, a contract for the work bid upon, and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the Specifications. However, if the Contractor has not executed the Contract within the fifteen (15) day period or has failed to furnish acceptable surety bonds as indicated, the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder and the bid security will be forfeited. Bids shall be properly and completely submitted on Contractor's Bid for Public Bidding Form No. 96 (revised 2013) as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts for the State of Indiana, in addition to the Bid Form included in these Specifications. A Financial Statement is a required attachment to Form 96. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the Contract Sum. The Monroe County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities if deemed to be in the best interest to the County. Bidder's attention is called to the Instructions to Bidder section of the Project Manual. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirement as to the condition of employment to be observed under Contract. All bidders must conform to the anti-discrimination provisions of Indiana law and provide a non-discrimination affidavit with the bid. Monroe County is an Equal Opportunity Employer in accordance with I.C. 22-9-1-10 and shall not permit discrimination against any employees or applicant for employment to be employed in the performance of the contract with respect to his or her hire, tenure, terms, conditions or privileges of employment or any matter directly or indirectly related to the employment, because of his race, religion, color, sex, disability, national origin, or ancestry. All out-of-state corporations must have a certificate of authority to do business in the State of Indiana.
