As of 11/14/2024, all bids were rejected. The City of Alice hereby requests sealed bids from interested equipment vendors/contractors to supply grit cyclone screw classifier for the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant. The City intends to select one supplying firm from the Invitation of Sealed Bids (IFB) to supply products and work specified in the Scope of Work section of the bid package. Questions regarding the bid packet and/or Scope of Work of the project shall be directed only by email Friday, October 11, 2024, by 5 p.m. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to accept the bid which, in the City s opinion, seems most advantageous to the City and in the best interest of the Public. Bids may be held by the City of Alice for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award. Contractor shall provide classifier and furnish all labor, supplies, and machinery. Work will include removing existing classifier, installing new grit cyclone screw classifier including any masonry/concrete work, anchors, fittings, skids, and associated equipment. Replacing and installing carbon steel grit cyclone screw classifier with the existing WEMCO Torque Flow classifier model 4x11 CE, 270 GPM capacity, head 36 ft. TDH, 1035 RPM, with full IMP. The contractor is responsible for the electrical installation of the blower. Contractor is responsible for supplying all materials, equipment, supplies, and labor associated with the installation and honor a one (1) year warranty for any alterations and installation fixtures. Contractor shall dispose of the existing classifier at the on-site spot designated by the city. The city shall preserve ownership of the existing classifier. Contractor shall provide the City with a working schedule and time frame for replacement. Plant downtime shall not exceed 24 hours.
