The FY25 allocation of $16,972,730 will support the Complete Streets Program and the reconstruction of streets and sidewalks. Priority is placed on locations where the street, sidewalk, and bike facilities are in poor condition; locations serving significant pedestrian populations or bus routes; requests by the Cambridge Commission for Persons with Disabilities; and priority routes identified in the City's Bike Plan. The Public Works Department uses operating funds for a Miscellaneous Sidewalk Contract to address smaller requests that are not part of a larger Complete Streets project. As of September 8, 2025, this project is included in the CIty of Cambridge's FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allocated for FY25, FY26, FY27, FY28, and FY29. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
