Site work for a water / sewer project in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In FY25, an allocation of $8,250,000 will be used for Cambridge Water Department (CWD) water works construction projects and coordination with DPW street restoration projects, which include repair/replacement of water infrastructure including Mass Ave 4, Chestnut, Dana, Sciarappa and Winter Streets. Additionally, funds will be used for assistance during emergency repairs and unanticipated needs within the City. This also includes fire hydrant and large valve replacement and police details. As of September 19, 2024, this project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
