**As of April 18, 2025, the project was awarded to BGN Contractors, with an awarded amount of $644,620.90.** The project is located in the City of Destin at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. As outlined in the project design plans, this project shall include, but may not be limited to, clearing and grubbing of existing area and improvements including PH1 - Four (4) Pickleball Courts, Restriping, Phase 1 Stormwater, Restroom Facility, & Pedestrian Paths [Note: Court Lighting Descoped] o PH1A - Temporary Gravel Parking o PH2 - Two (2) Shade Structures The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals or portions thereof, to waive minor defects and informalities in the process, to accept the Bid(s) or take any other actions deemed by the City to be in the City's best interest. All bidders shall furnish with their bids a bid bond. Said bid bond shall be issued by a surety duly authorized to conduct business in the State of Florida and shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid security is submitted as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute such Contract in accordance with the Bid and in the manner and form required as defined by the Contract Documents. The Bidder must be named as the principal of the bond. Surety companies executing bonds must appear on the Treasury Departments most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Florida. See Article 5 of the General Conditions as amended by Supplementary Conditions. The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall furnish to the City, without extra compensation, and shall maintain in effect throughout the life of the Contract, and for the duration of the period described in the bond, acceptable Performance and Payment bonds in sums at least equal to 100% of the full amount of the Contract, conditioned to indemnify and save harmless the City from and against any loss, damage, or expense ensuing from failure on the part of the Contractor to faithfully and properly perform the Contract or to promptly pay all its subcontractors, suppliers, materialmen or laborers for work completed on the Project.
