Proposals from qualified contractors for the replacement/retrofit of Sports Center lighting for six (6) ballfields, three (3) soccer fields and two (2) parking lot areas. The project is located in the City of Destin at 4200 Indian Bayou Trail. Question Deadline Nov 19, 2024 The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals or portions thereof, to waive minor defects and informalities in the process, Parking Lot Light Levels: Meet Dark Skys/Directional, LED, average of 2 fc maximum with 1 fc minimum with dusk to dawn photocells. All lighting shall include: o Photometric plan for all areas. o Glare Control: Minimize glare/light spillage at the property lines to not more than 0.2 fc and reduce glare to the players, spectators. o Poletop luminaire assembly: Galvanized steel poletop luminaire assemblies to replace existing poletop. Contractor must supply new galvanized steel bolt-on crossarm assemblies, bolted connections between steel and aluminum shall be gasketed stainless steel fasteners. o Wire harnesses shall include abrasion protection sleeve, strain relief and plug-in connections o Wind Code: All luminaires, visors, and poletop luminaire assemblies shall withstand 150 mi/h winds and maintain luminaire aiming alignment. o Corrosion protection: All exposed carbon steel horizontal surfaces on the crossarm assembly shall be galvanized minimum of five (5) mil thickness. All exposed aluminum components shall be Type II anodized and coated with high performance UV resistant polyester. o Safety: All system components shall be UL listed for the appropriate application. o Provide lightning grounding as defined by NFPA 780 and be UL Listed per UL 96 and UL 96A. o Instant On/Off Capabilities: System shall provide for instant on/off of luminaires. o Remote On/Off Capabilities (Optional Add) o Must be compatible with the existing electrical & controls o Delivery Timing Equipment On-Site: The equipment must be on-site 8-12 weeks from receipt of approved submittals and receipt of complete order information. o Platform above lighting assembly for eagle nesting.
