Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Franklin Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of October 24, 2024 project was awarded to Fowler Enterprises, awarded amount is $82,672.50. DEMOLITION consists of demolishing a 3,440 SF two story-brick and frame building, a 1,125 SF two-story frame building, and the disposal of all demolished material. The work includes the removal of foundation walls, footings, concrete floor slabs, including exterior site concrete slabs/pads/walks, and asphalt paving. Excavated areas are to be backfilled with structural soil fill, and the disturbed area topped with 6" of topsoil and seed. An asbestos inspection found no evidence of asbestos material in the 3548 River Rd. building, but asbestos material was found in the 3107 Maple St. building. Refer to the accompanying Asbestos Inspection Reports. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining and payment of all applicable demolition permits Site Directions: 3548 River Road and 3107 Maple Street, Franklin Park IL. Bid Security in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in the form of bid bond, cash, certified check, cashier's check or draft payable to The Village of Franklin Park. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish either both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the Village for 100 percent of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder based on criteria set forth by the Village. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, award each schedule individually, and to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting a Bid, the Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination. No contract will be awarded to any person or entity that is in arrears to the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois upon any debt or contract with the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois, or who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise upon any obligation to the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois.
