Site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Livingston, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
General Description: The work includes approximately a 15,200 sf addition and renovation to Homer Field House for the University of West Alabama. The addition and renovation will be of the existing locker room and shower areas. The second floor will be of the toilet rooms, classroom/gathering areas and addition of an outdoor covered patio and access bridge. Pursuant to State Law a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must be enclosed with the bid to secure the bid for at least 30 days. Conditional bids will be rejected. A list of major subcontractors must be submitted as indicated in the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of specified insurance are pre- requisites of contract award. The right is reserved by the Awarding Authority to reject all bids and to waive irregularities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
