2024 J. Everett Light Career Center and Washington Township Services Center Asbestos Abatement portion of the overall phases 5 and 6 project will be received at: 1. H Dean Evans Community and Education Center, 8550 Woodfield Crossing Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46240 Work shall be performed under one Unified Contract. 1. Abatement will be provided by a separate contractor under contract directly with the Owner. Abatement will be by successful contractor. Bids shall be submitted on forms provided in this Project Manual. E. Bids shall be executed in accordance with Indiana Board of Accounts Form No. 96 (Current Revision) - "Contractor's Bid for Public Works "online, with a financial statement complying with Section III of Form No. 96, Supplemental Bid Form (Document 004113), a satisfactory Bid Bond, or certified check pursuant to LC. 36-1-12-4.5, payable to: Bid Security shall be in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total price and delivered in a sealed envelope showing the Bidder's name and address. Bidder receiving the award shall furnish an approved one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Materials Payment Bond prior to execution of the Contract which cover faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Said bonds shall remain in full force and effect for twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance of the Work. It is strictly prohibited to contact members of the School Board, leadership or any member of the staff of the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township regarding this bid. Contact shall be grounds for deeming the contractor ineligible to bid the project. The Contract to which the Owner will be a party will contain a provision prohibiting the other party to the Contract, and their subcontractors, from engaging in employment practice that constitutes a discrimination against a person because of the person's race, color, sex, religion, national origin or ancestry. The Contractor shall provide an affidavit with each billing, assuring the Owner that this provision has not been violated. Should a successful Bidder withdraw the Bid, or fail to execute a satisfactory Contract, the Owner may then declare the Bid deposit forfeited as liquidated damages. The members of the School Board and leadership of the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township are committed to ensuring the utilization of diverse suppliers on the Construction Project. The School Board passed a resolution highlighting and reinforcing the district's commitment to supplier diversity. This resolution is a part of the project documentation and emphasizes the importance in the bidding process. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to waive any informalities or errors in bidding for a period of sixty (60) days after the Bid opening. All questions regarding bidding shall be sent to the Asbestos Manager in writing to TBolanos@MicroAir.com. No questions will be answered verbally, but will be issued to all registered bidders in the form of an Addendum. All addenda shall be acknowledged on the bid form.
