The Village of McLean is calling for snow removal tenders. This contract would be in effect during the snow fall season. The hired contractor will be contacted by the Village Councilor on an "as needed" basis. The tender must include type of equipment available as well as the cost associated with each piece of equipment on a per hour basis. All equipment must have safety features tested and in good working order such as backup alarms and safety lights. Contractor must carry liability insurance, both general liability insurance and automobile liability insurance. This must be provided with the bid. Bid price to include: travel time equipment labour materials tools truck plows scheduling job coordination fuel overtime emergency rates Snow Hauling The Main routes and school routes must be cleared first with the remaining Village completed within the first 24 hours after a snow fall upon being contacted. To facilitate clearing of snow, it is recognized that snow needs to be pushed or swept into what may be termed "temporary snow storage." The cost to haul snow should also be included in the price of the bid.
