Request for Proposals to provide construction administration, observation and inspections services for the construction of the Beacon Wellness Building. The Town of Babylon is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms licensed in the State of New York to provide all aspects of construction administration, supervision, observation and part-time inspection services for the construction of an approximately 6,700 square feet, 3 story (basement, 1st floor and 2nd floor) office building located at 831 Broadway, Amityville. The property is currently vacant. The services to be provided pursuant to this RFP may be funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Opioid Settlement funds. The selected firm shall comply with all ARPA requirements. This may include but is not limited to good-faith efforts to utilize certified M/WBE firms, etc. Please be sure to complete and submit all the ARPA documents requested. Failure to do so may be cause for your proposal to be rejected. The Town has already engaged services of an engineering and design firm and the preliminary plans and specs are included as part of this RFP. Utility permit applications have already been submitted and we are awaiting comments. The Town reserves the right to contract for all or part of the services requested herein, or make no award based on the responses to this Request for Proposals. Proposals deemed incomplete will not be considered. This contract may be awarded to a firm other than the firm offering the lowest overall cost. The Town will consider experience, qualifications and cost in the selection of the qualified firm. The Town is in no way obligated to award a contract based on this solicitation. Any contract award is subject to compliance with all provisions of federal, State and local laws and regulations.
