Demolition, site work and remodeling of a library in New London, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the remodel of a 26,000-square-foot library; for the demolition of a library; and for site work for a library.

As of October 23, 2024. New London Library Board meeting on 10/21/2024 has made the decision to cancel the bid opening. The City of New London was selected as a recipient of a 3.9-million-dollar grant. The grant comes with conditions, specifications, and guidelines which need to be followed. Once these items are understood, implemented into the plans, and approved the project will go out for bid again. Keller and the City will do their best to keep bids in the original envelope and mailed back to the subcontractor. This was a tough decision, however the board felt it would be unfair to subcontractors if the bids were opened publicly with the potential for scope change on the project. Accepting separate sealed bid proposals for the following divisions of work: Demolition, Masonry, Carpentry, Insulation, Aluminum Storefronts and Windows, Rolling Counter Door, Plaster Board Assemblies, Cabinets & Millwork, Acoustical Panel Ceiling, Flooring, Painting & Finishing, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical / Low Voltage / Security and Communications, and Signage. In general the project consists of a 26,000 sq. ft. remodel of the previous First State Bank facility. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 10% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 30 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 30 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. Performance Bond: 100% of the Contract Price Required Payment Bond: 100% of the Contract Price Required. Bidders shall submit a Contractor Proof of Responsibility form provided in the specifications to City of New London. Submit form to: New London City Hall, Attn: LIBRARY BID; 215 N Shawano St, New London, WI 54961. Schedule: Project is anticipated to start in November of 2024 and be substantially complete by May 2025. The low responsive, responsible bidder will be recommended for contract award. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities in bid or to accept a bid which will be in the best interest of the Owner. Bids shall remain open to acceptance for a period of 60 days after bid due date.
