Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Hibbing, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
Bridge 92697 Replacement (Zim Road) All in accordance with plans and specifications as prepared by LHB, Inc., 21 West Superior Street, Suite 500, Duluth, MN 55802. Plans and specifications can be seen at the Office of the City Clerk- Treasurer, and at the Office of the City Engineer. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bidder's bond, or a cash deposit in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract. The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposit of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date and time set for the opening of the bids. NO BIDS will be received after the specified hour and date. Any such bids received will be returned unopened. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the city.
