The Springfield-Greene County Library District is requesting statements of qualifications for the services of a Special Inspections and Construction Materials Testing Firm for a building addition and parking lot improvements to their existing building, The Library Center. The project is located in the City of Springfield, in Greene County, Missouri. The project involves new construction and generally includes but is not limited to selective demolition, earthwork, cast in place concrete, masonry (brick and CMU), welded connections, light gage metal framing, and asphalt. The Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection Firm shall provide qualified inspector(s) to perform on-site construction inspection (full-time as required) and materials testing. Special Inspection and Testing services shall be provided in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. (Plans and specifications are available for review by request.) Examples of testing and inspection services desired include but are not limited to soil compaction, concrete, embedded anchors, welding, asphalt, and others as required. This RFQ does not commit the library district to award a contract or to pay any costs incurred in preparation of qualifications submittal. The library district reserves the right to accept or reject any and all qualifications received as a result of this request, to waive any informality and irregularity in the qualifications, to negotiate with all qualified offerors, to select the firm that is in the best interest of the district, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this proposal request, if in the best interest of the library district. Please include the following with your submittal: 1. Letter of interest indicating understanding of the project and proposed approach. 2. General qualifications of the firm. 3. Three (3) references demonstrating firm and proposed inspectors experience with projects of similar size, scope, and duration. 4. List of prior work experience and scope of similar projects. 5. Statements of qualifications for proposed staff that will be assigned to the project. 6. Testing facilities to be used for each type of lab work. 7. Sample reports for the various materials that may be expected on the projects. 8. After reviewing the project plans and specifications, please describe your project approach/management plan, specifically how you will perform your tasks. 9. Outline of potential additional scope not outlined in this RFQ.
