Project Information. 2.1 Location and Description. The Project is located at San Ramon Olympic Pool and Aquatic Park, 9900 Broadmoor Drive, San Ramon, CA and is described as follows: 1. All necessary permits, staff, equipment, and materials to complete the below listed activities; 2. Re-plaster the 25-meter lap pool (95 ft X 75 ft); 3. Replace all racing line tiles and target tiles; 4. Replace coping cap tiles with stainless steel under each lane line; 5. Replace inlet tiles with 1" X 1" tiles around 20 inlets to create a 12" X 12" square around each inlet; 6. Replace all LED underwater lights with new in the 25-meter lap pool (16 total); 7. Replace all deck-level safety marker tiles and depth markers per safety requirements; 8. Remove and replace main drain VGB grates. Ensure new grates meet the current VGB code for entrapment; 9. Prepare and resurface gutters and gutter area in the 25-meter pool; 10. Replace the existing 25-meter pool in-wall-steps; 11. Assess and replace lane line anchors as needed in the 25-meter pool; 12. Prepare and skim-coat the surge pit surface in the 25-meter pool; 13. Replace the autofill assembly and the float valve assembly in the 25-meter pool; 14. Replace 4" by 4" inch tiles on stairwell with 2" x 2" inch tiles; 15. Install new ADA-compliant handrails at the steps leading into the pool (4 handrails); 16. Replace hydrostatic valves (2 each); and 17. Measure and certify the 25-meter lap pool in accordance with USA Swimming regulations. Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 67 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about November 25, 2024, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is $350,000.00. Anticipated Start Date Monday, November 25, 2024 Target Construction Finish Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Target Project Completion Friday, January 31, 2025. Oral responses are not authorized and are not binding on the City. The last day to submit questions is Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Questions submitted after 2:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, or to any other staff, or by any other method, will not be answered. An interpretation or clarification by City in response to a written inquiry will be issued in an addendum. Each Bid Proposal must be completed, using the form provided in the Contract Documents, signed, and submitted to City in a sealed envelope, with all required forms and attachments, by or before the date and time set forth in Section 1 of the Notice Inviting Bids, or as amended by subsequent addendum. Faxed or emailed Bid Proposals will not be accepted, unless otherwise specified. Late submissions will be returned unopened. City reserves the right to postpone the date or time for receiving or opening bids. Each bidder is solely responsible for all of its costs to prepare and submit its bid and by submitting a bid waives any right to recover those costs from City. The bid price(s) must include all costs to perform the Work as specified, including all labor, material, supplies, and equipment and all other direct or indirect costs such as applicable taxes, insurance and overhead. Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's check or certified check, made payable to the City, or bid bond using the form included in the Contract Documents and executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents.
