Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Liberal, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Concrete aprons and sidewalks, and fence post setting: Mahuron Park located at 802 E, 8th St, Liberal, KS 67901 and, McCray Park located at 1000 S. Pershing Ave, Liberal, KS 67901. The City of Liberal will be accepting one bid proposal for the aforementioned SPLASH PAD APRON project (Both Locations). Bids received after the bid closing date and time listed above will not be accepted. The purpose of this project is to frame-in existing concrete splash pads, install connecting sidewalks and fence posts. The key project tasks and components are general estimates to be verified by the contractor. The City of Liberal installed concrete splash pads at Mahuron and McCray parks. Our intent is to install 4" concrete aprons approximately 5' around the existing concrete that will be pinned with 3/8" rebar. Expansion joints and sealant must be applied at seams. Additionally, we intend for ADA compliant connecting sidewalks from the new concrete to the existing sidewalks. Fencing will be installed at Mahuron Park. The posts will be installed according to manufacture specifications. The anticipated timeline for this project is 21 days to compete. GENERAL CONDITIONS: o Certificates of insurance, performance and material's payment bonds required as security for faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the contract. o Storage and handling of all materials must be in a manner which prevents additional loss, deterioration and damage. o Construction schedule to be itemized with headings related to the breakdown in payment requests and compensation must be submitted as a lump sum or unit price. o Change orders will not be authorized without prior approval from the Project Manager. o Compliance with all applicable laws and statutory regulations required. o City requires a current City of Liberal Contractors and business license. o City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive formalities. o Ingress/regress of equipment will be discussed prior to bid acceptance and signing of contract. o City does not pre-pay for projects. Terms will be negotiated prior to signing contract. o City will obtain any necessary permits. o Project is subject to inspection by City of Liberal Building & Code department. Bids must be prepared and submitted using the bid forms provided and must be signed and authorized in ink. All bids received by the deadline shall be reviewed by Steve Carroll and Brad Beer. Any additional items and tasks will be considered separately from the base bid, should the City request additional work or delete any tasks from the original scope of work.
