Addition to Dutchtown Middle School The Work consists of an addition of (10) Classrooms and (2) Science Labs along with associated Workrooms, Offices, Orchestra Suite, and Restrooms to the original building which was completed in 2003. The original construction type was Type IB Construction (sprinklered) consisting of primarily load bearing construction. The new addition is also Type IB Construction (sprinklered) consisting of load bearing construction (with sprayed fire protection), and masonry infill with a brick veneer exterior. Additionally, the roof system is a Thermoplastic Polyolefin roof membrane on tapered insulation roof deck. The HVAC equipment is gas fired compact bi-polar ionization rooftop units. Also, included in the work are low voltage systems including fire alarm, intercom, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. Refer to specifications for further descriptions of finishes, doors, windows, power, lighting, and plumbing systems. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
