As of October 24, 2024, project was awarded to the following contractors: 1. Empire Salvage $31,500. 2. Gopher Land Services but no amount available. 3. Aster Oilfield $32,000. Bids for the demolition of 9 individual properties within the municipal boundary. A review of the physical properties to be demolished may be scheduled upon request. There have been asbestos inspections on these buildings and the results are available at request. The City of Hinton will evaluate the specifications and pricing submitted and may conduct discussions with individuals/ firms submitting proposals deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the services required and then rank such proposals in order of preference. The City of Hinton request separate quotes on each property and that each quote be good for six months. The Quote must be to completely remove the structure to grade, transport all said debris to a qualified landfill, seed and remove any underground utilities and cap the sewer connection. The properties are 98 Flat Rock Street, 210 11th Ave, 913 Temple Street, 209 Hill Street, 119 Reservoir Street, 145 State Street, 140 Railroad Ave, 1204 Walnut Street, 1310 Walnut Street. The City of Hinton will award a contract with the individual/firm determined to be the most highly qualified in specifications and pricing. The City of Hinton reserves the right to reject any and all bids from individuals/firms and to make the award in any manner deemed by it, in its sole discretion, to be in the interest of the City of Hinton and in accordance with West Virginia State code.
