Saving Project...

Renovation of a residential development in Hampton, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,936-square-foot, two-story above grade residential development.

Sealed Bids are invited for the asphalt shingle roof replacement on five existing residential buildings. Within the same project two additional buildings are to have the front porch metal seam roofs replaced. The project is generally described as the removal and replacement of select roofing systems and associated wood repairs and accessories. A Bid Bond is required. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids Substantial Completion is defined as the condition where the Owner agrees that the Work, or a specific portion thereof, is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the Contract Documents, so that it can be utilized by the Owner for the purposes for which it was intended. The Owner at its sole discretion may, after obtaining the necessary approval and certificates, take Beneficial Occupancy at this time or choose to wait to occupancy until after Final Completion is achieved.
