This Request for Tender (RFT) is for supply and delivery of ice melt and softener salt products at various Waterloo Region and Waterloo Region Housing properties. The contract shall be for a period of two (2) years commencing November 15, 2024 and ending November 14, 2026, with an option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, expiring November 14, 2029. Note: The contract is the monitoring of the Region's ice melt bins. Due to the remoteness and limited staff at several locations, it will be the responsibility of the contractor to determine when salt levels require replenishing (based on usage, weather, etc.).
