SCOPE OF WORK The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following: Resurfacing approximately 15 miles of roads with asphalt including Old Hwy 250, AD Eason Road, Jim O'Rogers Road, Campground Road, Edgewater Drive, Rufus Sapp Road, and Hearn Street. The Contractor shall provide milling, 4" deep patching, bituminous tack coat, leveling, striping, and trafc control. The Contractor shall also provide fne grading and paving of the Evans County Public Safety Complex parking lot and boat landing parking lot. Time allotted for fnal completion of work is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days BONDS Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certifed cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a fnancial strength of at least fve (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-infact to bind the surety and certifed to include the date of the bond. FUNDING SOURCES Funding is to be provided by GDOT-LMIG, TIA, and the Evans County Commissioners. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualifed or of doubtful fnancial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
